Architecturally inspired, delicately stitched: that is the motto for Natalya’s art.

She celebrates the beauty of architecture around her and stitches skyscrapers, buildings, homes, bridges and fire escapes. Reclaimed and repurposed materials such as plastic shopping bags, fabric scraps, and vintage linens are in her paint box. She collages and layers, sketches and stitches by hand and machine.

Natalya has exhibited her work in juried shows throughout the US; most recently she won First Place in Mixed Media at the Armonk Outdoor Art Show 2017 and Best New Artist in 2016.

She was juried into Quilt National 2017 at the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, OH; Breakout: Quilt Visions 2016 at the Visions Art Museum in San Diego, CA; Quilt National 2013 at the Dairy Barn Arts Center and 63rd Annual Art of the Northeast at the Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, CT. Most recent publication is in Artful Adventures in Mixed Media by Nathalie Kalbach, from North Light Books. She has been published in Fiber Art Now, Quilting Arts Magazine, Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, and Art Quilting Studio.
